- our philosophy and strategy.
Guideline 3: Adaptability and Connectivity with UBIS©
- our main goals and processes for achievment.
GL1: Preservation of Customer Investment

There we have defined eight items we obey and try to keep in our day to day operation:
  1. We focus and stick on our main subjects of competence, on the issue of -
  • Database design in connection with high availablity operation
  • network management for multi user and multi cluster systems
  • remote maintenance and support
  •   2. We listen to the needs and requirements of our customers and observe its context as careful as possible and even spend more time as intended(.) by intesifying the clarification processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
      3. We primarily consider Quality Assurance an inner personal mode of living, rather than as a formal standardised regulation and set of rules for human behavior
      4. We heavliy rely upon standardised Hard- and Software-Components and methods for development reffering to ANSI, ISO und IEEE standards.
      5. We develop complex solutions, to free the user of tedious handling and support easy workflow by provision of a high degree of automatisation.
      6. We believe in continuity, but also keep track on innovation, since we do not consider it as contradictory. Usability and compatibility will be the only criteria for incorporation.
      7. We established a annually organised User-Meeting, to provide a plat- form for Knowhow-Transfer and Innovation and appraise the interchange of ideas essentially.
      8. We regard our projects as accomplished and finished only, when Training has been executed in a satisfactory way and users will act on their own.

GL2: Steadiness and Continuity with AIP
Long term use shall be granted on behalf of a high degree of specialisation and technical competence, as stressed by item GL.3. Efficient and clearly aimed system updating, software development and remote support services are the key items for.

GL3: Adaptability and Connectivity with UBISİ
Based on our observations and experiences following issues seem to emerge as crucial points of innovation and change and are permanently on focus:
    1. New Pollutants and their respective methods of acquisition
    2. Interpretation and Analysis of those data and their adequate Presentation
    3. Interfacing with heterogenuous data processing systems all over Europe

The UBIS-USER-CLUB has been established in 1993 and since then meeting annually, headed by AIP, it settles and defines the functions, features and its handling for efficient day to day operations in the field of Environmental Protection.
Preserve the availability and hence continuity of an integrative and high sophisticated Monitoring Network System by measures like:
  • Deposition of Sourcecode and its technical documentation at federal Institute for data processing
  • Guaranteed support based on General Contract approved by all members
  •   Promote further system development under consideration of meaningful innovations by measures like:
  • Common programs for further system development
  • Shared costs and efforts
  • Mutual Information interchange and technical support
